Report from the 6th DFK Family Meeting “Rosenfelder Strand” 2013.

More sunburn than water puddles.

Naturist - Family Meeting «Mee(h)r erleben» completed successfully.

Do you have any idea how to attach a nameplate with a sharp needle during a nudist family meeting on your body? If you were one of the 524 participants of the naturist Family Meeting «Mee(h)r erleben» that took place from the 26^th July to the 4^th August on the campsite of “Rosenfleder Strand” in “Holstein-Grube”, then you know how the seemingly impossible was realized.

For the friends of nakedness, who met already there for the sixth time, experienced again many highlights of naturist life in this German-speaking region.

The athletes started for the fourth time at this International Naturist Run. The race organizer Franz Dirscherl was able to increase the number of runners for the Nordic-Walking and the middle distance running over 5.000 and 10,000 metres again this year. There were 132 runners (f/m) running naked around the naturist campsite of the “Rosenfelder Strand” and were fighting for the cups. “I am pleased for every participant. I’m impressed that there always are those who make the journey to the far north only for the athletic competition”. (Said by Franz  Dirscherl) In particular, he has also been happy that the incomings of the fourth International Naturist Run totalling +- 800.00€ were distributed in equal proportions as donation to the rescue station of the German Life Saving Society (DLRG) based on the “Rosenfelder Strand” and the Volunteer Firemen Department in the nearby “Grube” village. This is important, you would eventually be seen with this naturist sports event as part of their annual life in the “Grube” village, said Dirscherl.

There were of course the many small and large experiences that contributed to the attractiveness of the Naturist Family Meeting «Mee(h)r erleben» - “There are about fifty percent of the participants who travel each year to the “Rosenfelder Strand” because «Mee(h)r erleben» is a fixed item in the calendar and in the vacation planning”, says the coordinator of «Mee(h)r erleben», Günther Hedderich. This is of course a proud feeling. 

Beneath the camping cars and caravans there were again much enjoyable encounters showing that «Mee(h)r erleben» has become unforgettable for many of them.

You can simply feel that one is not alone in his joy at being naked. And the whole thing can be quite innocuous, taking place in nature and with the family, says one participant.

This year the participants of the Naturist Family Meeting «Mee(h)r erleben»  were privileged by the weather. “The sun burns on the skin are more dominant than the water puddles on the ground”, says camp coordinator Günther Hedderich in a grinning way. Even the President of the International Naturist Federation (INF), Sieglinde Ivo, as co-organizer of «Mee(h)r erleben» and as co-host and patron of the International Naturist Run had travelled to the Baltic Sea and was quite satisfied: “The weather has spoiled the participants and the varied program did the rest”.

So it is not surprising that two naked runs with the naked hiking pioneer Nicole Wunram have become a success. 92 female and 79 male participants, only equipped with hiking boots and backpack, walked through the Schleswig-Holstein Lowlands. “We have almost cracked the subscriber record for a nude hike in the German-speaking region. There is one challenge left for the next year”, says Nicole Wunram. A remaining task will also be to adapt the offer for kids and young people again for the next Naturist Family Meeting «Mee(h)r erleben». We are investigating the requirements, says Günther Hedderich. Finally, we want to offer more than the water slide and bungee jumping that has shown many a smile on the faces of kids and youngsters.

That Naturist Family Meeting «Mee(h)r erleben», performed  by  INF,  the German Association for Free Body Culture (DFK) and the Family Sports Association North Rhine-Westphalia (FSG NW), is adapted to the needs of participants was shown during the two biker tours that took place for the first time this year at «Mee(h)r erleben».

One and a half dozen friends (f/m) of the motorbikes had gathered. In the coming year there will be a special program for fans of Recreation Vehicles. (Camping-cars) “We are especially counting on the self-commitment of the participants,” says Günther Hedderich. The program also lives of what would come from the ranks of the families. This is finally the “treasure” of the Naturist Family Meeting «Mee(h)r erleben»
