After 1 ½ years of planning, in collaboration with “Valamar”
and INF‐ENC, the
time had finally come for the international meeting of the naturist Youth in
Croatia. After arranging this event twice in Germany, it was time that this
meeting will be worthy concerning it’s the designation.
We followed the recommendation of the “Valamar” group
to choose as venue the naturist camping of “Solaris”. A large shaded area of
180 m2 for our tents was made available to us by the management of
the campsite for our international Youth meeting. Culinary welfare was well
insured, since participants could take their breakfast and dinner in the
restaurant providing a hot and cold buffet.
As in previous years, young families holidaying also
had the opportunity to participate in this international Youth meeting. The
mixture was perfect, because in addition to German participants, we had the
opportunity to greet Youth from Netherlands, Austria and Italy.
The program of the International naturist Youth
meeting was very basic because there was so much to discover. In addition to
the days on the beach and at the pool, where you could simply enjoy the summer
and the sunset, there were also sport activities. Waterskiing, wakeboarding,
banana boat were probably the highlights. Towed by a boat by captain Didi,
everyone could highlight his skill and endurance.
Another highlight was the “Solaris Carnival”, which
seems to be an unforgettable experience every year there. As expected, our
youth group was not just a spectator at the edge of the parade, but we were
actively involved in running under the “Solaris Carnival”. This gave us the
opportunity to promote our activities and the organized naturism in Germany. The evening ended
with a big show, outdoor disco and a large fireworks display.
As with any international Youth meeting, a day trip to
the nearest big city is mandatory. For us, it was clear that it had to be the
Croatian town of Porec. Exploring the city‐center coupled with some small shopping was well
appreciated by the participants. The Mediterranean city center was very
impressive, the port having its own charm.
The 12‐day stay passed ‐ as usual ‐ too quickly, but did provide a memorable stay in in
an enchanting destination for participants.
A big «Thank you» to Valamar and especially to the Solaris
team (Roberta Mamutschka, Caramella, Adolf, Tina, Letara und Carolina - we
will miss you), to the INF-ENC for their subsidy and to the clubs «SuN Dortmund npo» and «Sonnenfreunden Nürnberg npo» for their support during stopovers en
route.
